Paris is the organ paradise on earth! TThe city houses currently about 264 organs which are mainly located in churches, temples, conservatories and concert halls. The oldest organs were built in the 16-18th century, a large quantity was built in the 19th century by the famous organ builder Aristide Cavaillé-Coll. Even now, regularly new organs are added to the fascinating and diverse organ landscape of Paris. This site is dedicated to the inventory of organs located in Paris intramural as well as of selected organs in the suburbs.
